Terms of Service Pleasant Valley Pools enters into a month-to-month agreement with its customers, with no extended-term commitment. Each week, Pleasant Valley Pools will come to the customer’s home within 24 hours of the regularly scheduled service time (weather permitting), and will perform the services of the agreement. The monthly cost of services is based on 4 weeks per month. It should be noted that several times per year, there will be a 5th service week in a month (based on however many thursdays fall on the calendar month). Pleasant Valley Pools gives the fifth service week free of charge during summer months, and takes the fifth service day off for family vacations during the off-season (usually twice per year). Pleasant Valley Pools will provide notice of an upcoming vacation week, and will adjust chemical doses and provide an emergency Service in case of happenstance during that vacation period. Why off-season? We simply cannot afford to miss a week during the summer season, as the pool needs much more closely guarded chemistry. In the off- season, we can put a little extra chemicals in the pool to cover the missed week.
Qualified Weather Events Occasionally, Pleasant Valley Pools will experience weather events during the service day at your home. These events include Electrical storms, Heavy rainstorms, and monsoon conditions with high winds. During these periods, Pleasant Valley Pools will make every attempt to complete all services that can be completed safely and effectively during that event, and will resume normal or “catch up” service the following week. Unfortunately Mother Nature doesn’t always cooperate, but at least you know that the chemicals will be right, the baskets emptied, and the equipment checked.
Billing You can choose to receive your bill through e-mail or in a self addressed return envelope at your doorstep each month. Most customers that use online bill pay from their bank choose e-mail because they don’t need a return envelope. I don’t mind either way. Our billing occurs after the completed month. So you will always receive a bill for the previous month either e-mailed on the first day of the new month, or on your front door on the first service day of the new month.
Small Repairs Pleasant valley pools will discover from time to time that the equipment or pool needs a small repair such as replaced o-rings, new water fill valve, new section of cleaner hose, new strainer basket etc. Whenever such repairs are needed and the total cost is less than $40, the repair is automatically made without notification. If any repair is larger than $40, the customer is contacted with detailed explanation and the repair is not completed without customer permission to proceed. We keep most small repair items stocked on our truck and ready for immediate replacement without making an extra visit. This saves us a considerable amount of time in phone calls and running around, and allows us to keep those small repairs “small” on your pocketbook.
